# New laptop

Malik prepares the laptop: full-disk encryption, the [VPN](../tools/vpn.md) client and the
standard software set. Allow two business days.

Laptops are ordered from Brightrack Services. Scan the signed delivery note and keep it next to
the [hardware inventory](../infra/documents/hardware-inventory.xlsx), like the
[delivery note of 23 September 2026](../infra/documents/2026-09-delivery-note.pdf).
